day 3

oh-no-na, winona
the infamous saks fifth avenue bandit, winona horrowitz, better known as ryder, was rushed to the hospital in london yesterday after two fainting spells on her british airwaves flight from lala land. reportedly, the fallen star had overdosed on xanax, which she allegedly took to ease her fear of flying.  after having her stomach pumped, ryder was discharged from the hospital.  with the exception of this incident, the actress was finally on the upswing from the '01 shoplifting incident and will next appear in jj abrams's star trek as spock's mother.

turn the cameras away
overexposure much? forbe's has released its annual list of the most overexposed celebrities.
1. paris hilton
2. britney spears
3. lindsay lohan
4. dina lohan
5. pamela anderson
6. oj simpson
7. donald trump
8. miley cyrus
9. nicole richie
10. heidi montag
the list is basically a compilation of the biggest train-wrecks hollywood has seen since 07, finished off with stars that are slowly losing their pull in hollywood and need to stay in the spotlight of tabloid fame to keep their name in the world's lexicon.

britney bit
"my trust has really been battered...sometimes it can get kinda lonely...i had totally lost my way.  i lost focus.  i lost myself.  i let certain people into my life that were just bad people....because i was lonely...i really paid the consequences for that.  big time...what the hell was i thinking?"

entertainment weekly obtained this and other exclusive quotes from the bspears doc set to hit mtv at the end of november.  it seems like the pop princess is finally in a place where she can realize what she was doing with her life and recover from it all.  spears plans to hit the us, and most likely abroad, with a tour in the spring and summer with songs from circus, blackout, and her other hit records.  britney will begin her string of performances with a birthday debut on the december 2nd episode of abc's good morning america,  the rockefeller christmas tree lighting ceremony on nbc, and a possible early performance at the american music awards on sunday.

mischa online
out of work oc starlet mischa barton has decided to look to the internets for help in keeping her struggling career alive.  mischabarton.celebuzz.com officially launched today.  the "actress" plans to use the site as a place to connect with all 5 of her fans and update everyone on her philanthropic, aka fame-whoring, activities.

dancing's stars dim
dancing with the stars has lost a celebrity dancer in the form of julianne hough.  the dancer-turned-singer announced to ryan seacrest that last night's elimation of her and her partner, hannah montana star cody linley, would mark her final appearance on the show as a dancing parter.  hough plans to focus her efforts on her music career, with her self-titled debut album and target exclusive christmas cd currently in stores.  though, fans of the hough family rivalry on the show won't have to look too far for a new brother/sister duo - new pro lacey schwimmer's brother, benji, will be joining the show next season.

daisies dust?
the critically acclaimed abc dramedy pushing daisies, known for its brilliant plot lines and crazy production value, may have put a nail in its own coffin last night as it pulled in a series low in viewership, averaging just 4.86 million viewers.  the upside to this is that the show beat its rival timeslots for the advertiser adored 18-49 year old demographic.  click here to watch the latest episode and help the show stay afloat.

update: it looks like the show has been canceled, along with dirty sexy money and eli stone, two other shows from the alphabet net.  daisies will end with the second season's thirteenth episode, a cliff hanger. show runner bryan fuller says that he is in negotiations with dc comics and is working on a movie to wrap up any loose ends.  i'm hoping the show will make the jump to a cable network, like showtime or hbo, where its high level creativity will be better nurtured - abc is hungry for numbers, not fans.

the devil works overtime at the office
star magazine reports that former michael buble main squeeze emily blunt, from the devil wears prada, is now dating john krasinski from nbc's the office.  the two have been out of the dating game for four plus months, with krasinski's last relationship being with office costar rashida jones.  while it's still a new relationship, this one seems like it might last. and hopefully, it will.

This is like one of the sadder moments of my young life, pushing daisies is (I refuse to say was) amazing. Ned and Chuck are the two best characters currently on TV. The writing was supreme, the set design, elaborate makeup, costuming, styling. Everything was so freaking A+ how can this be happening when television shows like My Own Worst Enemy are still on TV? I would trade any show to keep Pushing Daisies. ANYTHING. (That's right, even the office. Even though I go to pam's alma mater.) This is just so terribly upsetting. Grey's Anatomy is going down the shitter, ok? Why don't you wrap that show up and jump out of that vehicle before it crashes off the cliff? Plus ABC would save so much paying all those whiny big headed actors.

I will never come to terms with this...

I was so upset with this news that I actually cried and I have been in mourning since. Ned is the most well developed, wittiest yet innocent character ever written and Chucks curious nature made the contrast and the chemistry AMAZING. This is obviously the best made show on TV, past or present. Do we really need more hospital shows that no one even watches anymore? It is ABC's own fault that they are incompetent in catching viewer attention because anyone that watches even ONE EPISODE is hooked. If Ugly Betty wasn't on ABC, I would be boycotting them because this is televisions biggest lost ever.

Worst news I have ever received, even before CMM's marriage, Veronic Mars being cancelled and then CMM's cheating scandal.
