day 3.321

the real (precious) housewives of atlanta

gabourey sidibe popped up on the wendy williams show this week, joined by a new segment: "hairpiece theater." watch as wendy and gabby recreate a scene between kim zolciak and nene leakes. wendy totally lifted this bit from bonnie hunt, but who cares?

day 3.225

eddie murphy and ben stiller plan a tower heist

i can't decide if i want to see this movie or not. loosely based on the whole bernie madoff situation, ben stiller enlists eddie murphy to help him get back the money he rightly deserves. the cast? stellar- matthew broderick and the girl who played precious in the same movie? unreal. but the plot? seems a little stale, and i imagine the writing's about the same. check out the trailer (above) to see for yourself.

day 2.257

it's sunday - so that means...

saturday night live video! yep, snl was new again last night with house gabourey sidibe. i wasn't really expecting much from ms. sidibe and, well, i guess she at least met my expectations? maybe even exceeded them. the precious star played angry, large woman after angry, large woman. it worked for the most part, but gabby had a little trouble keeping the giggles down, and so did some of the regular cast members. check out the highlights of sidibe's snl stop below.

update: it looks like nbc's video player is having issues, but check out the suze orman, stefon and crazy lady sketches from the links above.

day 2.230

the big c looks precious

over the past 2 years, showtimes has been able to steal the title of "best place for cable tv" from hbo. the latest series coming to the network, the big c, looks like it will be just as good as current series nurse jackie and united states of tara. c stars laura linney as a suburban high school teacher and mother balancing her life as it all starts to fall apart when she's diagnosed with cancer. while it sounds dark, i think it will be pretty funny. check out the trailer for the show - which will be added to the original series line-up come august - above. the series will feature hollywood's latest it girl, gabourey sidibe, in a recurring role as linney's biggest (no pun intended) obstacle in the classroom.
