kara dio guardi out of work already?

it looks like we might get a fourth judge on idol just for the one season.  american idol's latest addition, dio guardi, has reportedly told tv guide that she's only signed on for the one season of the show and, while she's optimistic the idol crew will take her back, it's no done deal.  in response to rumors kara will be leaving, simon cowell didn't sound too positive.  the "mean" judge said the only say he has is over ryan, randy, and paula and that he wouldn't want to do the show without them.  meaning, if idol producers are planning to place kara in paula's current spot next season and return to the 3-judge format, simon might be out too.  and, let's be honest, the show wouldn't survive sans-simon.  all signs are pointing to sayonara dio guardi, but i don't know.  i've enjoyed her addition to the panel - her comments are actually constructive, especially because she's pretty much the only judge currently involved in the music industry.  kara says what randy says usually, but expands on it; it's more than just "pitchy" or "aight, dawg."  expect fox to make an announcement on kara's standing on america's number one show sometime this summer when the next season will start production.  

denise richards...cover your ears 

on friday, illinois native denise richards got the chance to sing "take me out to the ballgame" at the cubs game.  to say the least, it was just a little off pitch.  okay, it was a lot off pitch.  why they asked a less-than-great actress with no track record of singing to serenade a whole stadium and tv is beyond me.  to make matters worse, denise performed the song during the seventh inning stretch - meaning everyone in attendance was already ready to blow their brains out.  check out the song stylings of the former mrs. charlie sheen above. if you dare.

taylor swift: happy mother's day

taylor swift's latest single, "the best day," is sure to be a radio hit, but that's not why the song's getting so much attention online.  as an early mother's day present, miss swift used home movies to create a loving homage to her momma.  check it out above.  taylor's "love story" music video was recently nominated for video of the year and female video of the year for this year's cmt awards.  in order to win the trophies, taylor needs your help. yep, your help.  check out taylor's self-made plea/sketch below and then head over to cmt.com, register to vote, and then pick your faves to win.

no doubt is back

while the group won't make their "official" comeback appearance until the may 11th episode of gossip girl, no doubt stopped by the today show this morning to give fans a little taste of what to expect on the upcoming tour.  the group rocked one of their lesser heard hits, "spiderwebs," and they're definitely back in full form.  gwen has two distinct styles: solo artist and lead singer.  her wardrobe for no doubt is more punkish, while she's more feminine when just gwen.  i can't wait to hear new material from the group - and i don't mean cover songs.  i want some fresh stuff! check out the appearance above. 

lohan launches line

in addition to her leggings line, 6126, lindsay lohan is now the proud (?) face and creator of sevin nyne, a spray tan mist.  the product launched last night at sephora's los angeles boutique.  the spray is available only at sephora and, unlike other brands, does not come in shades.  you apply varying coats of the mist to darken yourself.  ll took the time at her launch party (for which she was late) to talk about the recent publicity surrounding her and samantha ronson.  she says april was a "rough month," but everyone has rough months.  lalohan also said that she likes the way she looks now and doesn't see anything wrong with it.  pics surfaced of the star earlier this week on vacation in hawaii looking a bit thin - as in eating disorder thin.  the thing that amazes me is that her boobs never seem to shrink - makes me think she did have a little medical enhancement back in the day.  and by back in the day, i mean like 2004.  linds also says she's finishing up negotiations for a film that'll start production in october, but she wouldn't say what it is.  she also said she wants to head back into the recording studio, hopefully with pharell as her producer.  it seems like ll is getting her life back on track, but i still think she needs to take some time off of the publicity train; just dive into your work and stop talking about how you don't want to be talked about. 

her "milkshake" must not be that good

kelis, the singer/rapper responsible for "milkshake" and "bossy," has decided to split from her rapper husband nas. the couple has been together since 2002 after meeting at one of diddy's party.  the kicker to this whole breakup?  kelis is currently pregnant with the couple's first child! what the hell did nas do that would make kelis so pissed to leave him withchild!? this story is sure to get juicy when the duo heads to court to figure out the divorce settlement.  kelis is due this summer and is asking for joint-custody and spousal support.  hmm...

julianne gets some competition

though she is said to be the front runner for the role of ariel in the upcoming footloose musical remake, julianne hough is still being tested.  alongside the (now) former dancing with the stars and current country crooner is heroes star hayden panettiere.  the actress hits theaters this summer in her first headlining role in i love you, beth cooper.  so, if she can open a movie on her own, the guys behind footloose are sure to be even more interested.  and, don't worry, hayden can dance and sing.  panettiere dropped a single last year as part of her candie's contract, "wake up call," and is currently signed to hollywood records.  hay also starred in the bring it on series' fourth outing, all or nothing, in which she had to learn choreography.  personally, i like julianne to be paired with new star chace crawford; they look moreso the same age.  hayden still looks like a teen.  and, while i know that footloose is supposed to take place during high school, if you cast one older looking actor, the whole cast needs to be filled out that way.  plus, julianne is more girl-next-door, no?  the only question is whether or not she can act.

jobros: my life as a covergirl

yep, the jonai are covergirls (haha - i'm so funny) on the june issue of seventeen, out next month.  the picture to the left is an outtake from the cover shoot.  from what i've seen of the story, the article should really be titled "joe and the other two," because kevin and nick don't seem to be involved at all.  inside the issue, joe dishes on quite a few things, including his 5 year plan and past relationships.  in 5 years, little joseph sees himself with a burgeoning acting career, in roles like johnny depp's.  really?  you think that's going to happen?  have you seen yourself act?  sadly, the jonai aren't triple-threats, even if disney (desperately) wants you to think so.  when asked about taylor swift's song "forever & always," which allegedly tracks the duo's short courtship, joe said it was "flattering" and "nice to hear their side of the story."  okay, one, your grammar is horrible.  taylor is a she/her not a they/their. two, flattering?  a song that trashes you is in no way flattering.  maybe joe needs to go back to school and learn definitions?  i don't know. if you didn't already know, the jonas bros' new series, jonas (creative title), premieres next month on disney.  let the trainwreck begin.

a bromance breakup? 

with a burgeoning career in film (he's currently shooting a flick with 50 cent, twelve, and in final negotiations to dance his way to the top in footloose), it looks like chace crawford is ready for some along time.  the gossip girl star currently lives with mr. chuck bass himself, ed westwick, allegedly wants to live the bachelor life.  a mole for the new york post claims chace has asked his team to seek out the perfect loft, no matter the cost.  he wants high security (hello, lindsay lohan knows where his current apartment is) and a fulltime doorman.  i can't blame chace for moving.  reports surfaced earlier this year that chace and ed's current apartment is a pigsty and that people simply don't want to go there.  plus, chace is the only main star of the series not currently in a relationship and i can't imagine it's comfy to see ed constanty hooking up with gg costar jessica szhor.  in gossip girl news, michelle trachtenberg is back through the end of the season as georgina, everyone's favorite upper-east side villian.  can't wait to see what she drums up.  it also looks like bluck (blair and chuck) is going to happen yet again. their this gen's ross and rachel. well a less famous, less popular, but better dressed ross and rachel.

sarah jessica parker and her husband matthew broderick are doing everything they can to stop the rumors that the duo is headed for divorce.  the couple, who have a 6 year old son, james wilkie, together, is expecting female twins this summer via a surrogate.  yep, the couple that has probably experience the most tabloid coverage for their relationship (only second to the jen-brad-angie triangle) are expecting their second and third child at the ages of 44 and 47.  that means that when the twins turn 18, sjp will be in ear early 60s, matthew in his mid-60s. i wonder why the couple decided now was the right time? hmm...we're in our mid-to-late 40s. let's have a baby! i'm just glad sarah won't be carrying the babies herself; that's the last thing her body (or the sex and the city sequel!) needs. speaking of satc 2, chris noth (mr. big/john james preston) will be coming back, despite reports he was unwilling to sign a contract.  the actor finalized his deal earlier this week.  the script for the movie has yet to be penned, by director michael patrick king is said to be leaning towards a baby theme.  yes, sjp could be a mother in real life and on screen.  i really don't think carrie is the mother-type though.  she doesn't even have a dog! the lack of script also means that gilles marini could be back as dante, samantha's horny neighbor, for the second go around.  i wouldn't be surprised if he made an appearance now that his celebrity has been increased by dancing with the stars.  

it's been confirmed

well, sort of.  as i mentioned a couple days ago, kristin cavallari was in attendance at the spedi wedding.  strange, no?  well mtv announced today that the hills was being picked up for another "continuation," when season 5 finishes out this fall. in the press release, the network listed cavallari as one of the show's new stars.  and, by calling this season 5 still, i can only imagine that the producers are hoping that lauren will return for sweeps episodes, which is likely since her former roommates audrina patridge (surprise - her reality show won't get started until this season of the hills is over...probably because no one's interested in the show) and lo bosworth will be sticking around.  stephanie pratt and her brother and sister-in-law will also be sticking around, alongside justin bobby.  aren't we done with him yet?? show sources won't confirm or deny that kristin is swooping in to take over narrating duties from lc, but it seems like the normal transition .  hey, it worked once on laguna beach - why mess with something that works? 

katy perry "wakes up in vegas"

katy perry's latest single and new music video, "waking up in vegas," premiered today and i can say i'm pleased.  this song was a standout track for me when i got the album this summer - it's in the vein of "i kissed a girl," but a little more pop-py.  the video is great, too.  exactly what you expect from a fun song like this.  nearly a year after the cd dropped, the music still holds up; and miss perry might have the song to rule summer again.  can that even be done?  two summers in a row?  i'd like to see her try at least.  this will be katy's 4 single off one of the boys, after "i kissed a girl," "hot and cold," and "thinking of you," which have all been major successes on the charts and on the radio.  check out the video above.  i dare you not to dance. even if it's just in your head. no word on when katy will head back into the studio to make some new music, but it'll have to be soon.  there's only 7 more songs on the album katy can release - 6 if you subtract "ur so gay," the song that helped launch her career from myspace.

the pussycat dolls are bound for a break-up.  at least that's what i think. nicole scherzinger, the "voice" of the group, has been signed as a solo artist to interscope records since 2007, but has yet to release her debut album.  she put work on her name is nicole... on hold when the pussycat dolls began work on their second album, doll domination, which has been a relative commercial failure.  but, when it was released, the group started to be touted as "the pussycat dolls featuring nicole scherzinger."  odd, isn't it?  why would one group member be "featured?"  nicole says its because she has song writing credits - the only one of the group to have them - on the released tracks.  but, what about when the group remixed "jai-ho?" she didn't write that, yet it was also released as "featuring nicole scherzinger."  bizarre, right?  well it looks like all this special attention is starting to get to the group.  the video above is from the group's recent opening-act performance for britney spears' "circus" tour in phoenix friday night.  group member melody, who is from phoenix, took a moment to address the crowd to thank them for their support...and vent her frustrations about the preferential treatment given to nicole.  check it out.  she also neglected to mention/allude to group member jessica, singling out ashley and herself as "examples that you can do anything you want to do."  again, a breakup must be imminent.  in other britney concert news, the singer had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction, but not in the traditional sense.  brit brit's tampon string was a hangin' out.  check it out below.

rumor has it...

yes, more hills drama / news / gossip / nessip?  it looks like 2 "unexpected" guests will be making an appearance at the heidi and spencer wedding today in lalaland.  the first guest is lauren conrad.  yes, even though lc is done "filming" for her final season of the series, and reportedly declined her invite to the nuptials, she was swayed by the show's producers to do what was best for the series.  plus, this will provide the perfect closure to any and all story lines (mostly).  as for guest numero dos?  that'll be kristin cavallari.  yes, the heidi to lauren on laguna beach.  the former reality star is said to be brody's date.  want some more k cav news?  it looks like kristin may be staying around for a while.  remember how i said the wedding will most likely be the season finale? well, i'm pretty certain now.  rumors are circulating that kristin will be back next year as the show's star.  as in reinventing the series, not letting it die a slow, painful death.  this way, they could keep around the current cast but in a lesser capacity.  remember that audrina herself, too, will be flying the nest for her own show (which has yet to find a network).  the hills would not follow kristin's life in la (and maybe even restart her life).  thoughts? sounds like an odd decision that could pay off big or blow up in mtv's face.  can't wait to see this mess play out.

lindsay lohan appeared on ellen degeneres' talk show today to sort-of clear up rumors.  the struggling actress kept saying "i'm a very honest person," but wasn't really answering the questions.  she kept bringing up the most recent us weekly cover, but wouldn't explain if it was an interview or not.  below is the video of the chatfest - check it out for yourself.  she's very ambiguous about everything, not quite specifying what these "many projects" she's working on are and keeps looking towards the audience for reenforcement; they didn't really provide it. anyway, have a looksie. 

to compare lindsay's current self to her old self (?) click here to check out her 2004 interview here and her 2005 interview here.  she seems a little more spacey now.  and the audience seemed a bit more sympathetic or welcoming. her 2006 interview (sorry it's in 2 parts) starts out her "shy" phase, which she obviously isn't if you watch the first one.  hmm.

lc starts fresh

the hills' soon-to-be former star lauren conrad is starting fresh in her fashion career with a soon-to-be released line of casual apparel at discount department store kohl's.  the collection, to be entitled, lc lauren conrad, will be "california chic," with dresses, tank tops, and, basically, any other piece of clothing you can think of.  no accessories will be produced in the line's first run, but plans for them are in the works.  the comes almost one month after conrad announced that her "high-end" line would be shutting down production to refocus.  while the now defunct line ranged in prices of $200 and up, the new line will be priced between $20 and $60, making it affordable to her almost exclusively teen fan based.  in other lc news, spencer pratt has publicly admitted to starting the sex tape rumor that heidi montag blatantly denied his participation in. the apology was caught on mtv cameras and will air later this season.  heidi and spencer are set to get married this weekend in lalaland with over 200 guests in attendance, including ashlee simpson and pete wentz.  heidi's maid of honor will be her sister, holly, with spencer's sis, stephanie, as her bride's maid.  no word on who will be in spencer's groom party.  one guest who will not be in attendance?  lauren.  lc received an invite to the nuptials but declined.  i don't think we're at all surprised by that.  mtv cameras should be there to capture it all and the ceremony will most likely serve as the season finale.

miley cyrus vs. chris brown

okay, maybe that title is a little bit more scandalous than the story is really.  miley and chris won't exactly be doing any physical battling, but the two movies that stars will be headlining in 2010 will be going head to head.  on january 8, 2010, miley's the last song and chris' takers will see who can grab the crowd in the post-holiday weekend.  will people want to see a hannah-less cyrus?  how about a woman-beating hip hopper as an actor?  that is all to be seen.  here are synopses for the two films - you can decide which one you'll be going to.  the last song is a nicholas sparks-penned tale of a daughter reconnecting with her estranged father that disney (yes, the home of hannah is also the studio behind the flick, though they'll probably release it under one of their many other production titles) hopes will help miley break out as an actress.  think mandy moore in a walk to remember, people.  this is the first film for which sparks is writing both the book and the screenplay at the same time.  he was approached by the cyrus family about developing a project for miley and decided to write the book with her in mind for the lead.  if billy ray gets cast as miley's dad in the movie, god help up.  as for takers, it's a high powered cry drama about specially skilled bank robbers who decide to do one last job before calling it quits.  in addition to chris, the movie will feature the likes of paul walker, matt damon, and hayden christensen.  chris will take on the part of jake, the baby of the band of bad guys who is always stirring up trouble.  so which one will you be checking out in early 2010?

grace heads back to tv sans will

with the buzz surrounding this show, i can only assume it's really really good. or at least promising.  debra messing is set to star in a new single-camera comedy for nbc.  abc allegedly lost out on the series after an intense bidding war amongst the two networks.  this will be debra's third series for nbc/universal, starting with will and grace and the short-lived usa mini-series/series the starter wife.  the new show, which is without a title and by the same team as wife, will follow deb as a recently laid off ceo who has never quite gotten the hand of being a wife and mother.  we'll get to see her struggles as her husband becomes the main breadwinner for the family and she takes over the stay-at-home parenting duties.  sounds good to me, though the whole one-camera thing scares me.  i hope this isn't another office/parks and recreation...nbc needs to find a new schtick. the peacock net seems committed to pick up the show before the pilot is even shot as they have script commitment and an episode guarantee from messing.  that bodes even better for the series.  expect to see the show as the new cornerstone for one of nbc's nights - probably tuesday or wednesday.  the network will have to spread its shows around more now that they're adopting the fox schedule of only 2 prime time hours; remember that the 10/9c hour will be occupied by jay leno's new-old show.  

the tiz is back

ashley tisdale has said bye-bye to her disney days (minus her lucrative production deal with the network) and is taking a second shot at the music world.  tisdale's second album on hollywood records (another disney entity) is a little more grown up and a little more edgy.  i mean, obviously...she has brown hair now.  nothing means serious pop-rocker more than brown hair.  the song's called "it's alright, it's ok" and the video is mtv-worthy.  too bad mtv doesn't have a show to feature music videos anymore.  sadly, ash released the vid exclusively to myspace.com. yes, people still use myspace.  the song is a good start for the tiz, but i don't know if she'll get radio play outside of radio disney.  the video features 90210 star(ish) adam gregory and is all about ashley being an independent woman.  yeah. 

tv newseses

yes, i made up the word (?) newseses, but i wasn't very creative. here's a bunch of scooplets over some of your favorite shows. first up, the gossip girl spin-off/backdoor pilot has an air date (and a name). the episode will air may 11 and will be called valley girls - a much better name than the previously reported lily. the promo poster is to the left ... is paula abdul done with idol? after a recent larry king interview, that looks to be the truth. paula's contract is up after this season and the "straight up" singer addressed kara dio guardi's presence at the judging table as a way for the show to move on, not replace paula. hmm ... don't expect michelle trachtenberg back on gossip girl after her 4 episode arc this season. that is, of course, if her show doesn't get canceled. the 17 again actress is set to star in mercy for nbc, about a group of young nurses. sounds like nbc's attempt to fill er's shoes to me. i wonder how the peacock net is going to fit in all these new shows. i'll be interested to see which they lose and which they keep come may when they announce next fall's lineup ... and, finally, some news for pushing daisies fans. the gone before its time series will live on as a dc comic book series that will wrap up all lose ends and possible lead to a big screen adaption. yay!

madonna fall down go boom

madonna suffered a fall from a friend's horse in long island on saturday and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  the horse got startled and bucked the 50-year old queen of pop after some paparazzi jumped out of the bushes and started snapping pics.  this is madge's second horse-induced hospital run; in 2005, esther (that's her kaballah name for the less random-fact inclined readers) was thrown off a different horse, suffering cracked ribs and a snapped collarbone.  luckily, the "4 minutes" singer got off easier this time - just some bruises here and there.  but, the paper who has the exclusive pics - the new york post - swears no photographers were around the material mom at the time of the fall, as can be seen from the pics they've posted (like the one above).  the photogs were quite a ways away.  instead, the paper is claiming that madonna was jumping over hurdles with the horse when she took the fall.  so, who are we supposed to believe? i don't know, but it seems like this is a case of the celebrity blaming her most sworn enemy: the press. 

clarkson "does not hook up" 

kelly clarkson's latest single, "i do not hook up," is sure to be huge on the radio and her new video has recently hit the internets (leaked, of course).  the vid can be checked out here.  i couldn't track down a code to embed the vid here, but the pic above is from a screen shot.  i like the video, but i wish kel would get the memo that not every video needs a performance set-up.  you can tell a perfectly good story without a microphone.  the video is a bunch of vignettes of kelly "hooking up" in between the performance snip bits.  kelly's acting redeems herself from the post-idol win flick bomb from justin to kelly; the bar scene is the funniest part, to me.  it's still sad, though, that kelly has to hide behind tables, bars, baggy clothes; she needs to either embrace the full figure or lose it.  usually she slims down while on tour, so that'll probably happen later this year when she hits the road.

nbc relaunches i'm a celebrity...get me out of here!

in 2003, abc ran one season of the us adaptation of uk fave i'm a celebrity ... get me out of here! the show was little watched and featured the likes of bruce jenner, tyson beckford, melissa rivers, and chris judd, jennifer lopez's ex-husband who wound up taking home the top prize.  so, what's a struggling network to do? relaunch the series.  yep, the peacock net is taking a whack at the show that's been a staple overseas since 2002 nearly 6 years after its first attempt in the us.  the series places celebrity contestants in a survivor-like setting and forcing them to do a variety of physical and mental challenges, with one contestant being sent home each week.  the show will premiere this summer and the cast list has just been "announced."  nbc hasn't confirmed any of the casting news, but the rumors floating around are pretty solid.  dog the bounty hunter was the first "celeb" to throw his hat into the pot, followed by geraldo rivera, american idol wanna-been sanjaya, and former illinois governor rob blagojevich.  the world's first alleged supermodel, janice dickinson, is also set to join the cast.  dickinson could win the series; the model and reality tv-alum came in second place in the 7th installment of the british edition.  also taking on the challenge? the hills' villian spencer pratt and his lady love heidi montag.  obviously, the producers are taking the term "celebrity" loosely.  and don't expect to see heidi and spencer's jungle exploits on the mtv series - they wouldn't want us to see the duo's real life, would they?

to anyone who takes naps in the sun.  kim kardashian posted this pic on her official blog/site today while in vacation in mexico.  apparently the natural tanner/non-burner kardashian does have the ability to get burnt.  she was outside tanning when she dozed off with her oversized sunglasses on.  well, at least her eyes were protected. but kim can't do much to heal the burn other than wait it out.  so, if you do plan on falling asleep outside, put on some major spf! see - stars really are just like us.  this pic will probably wind up in usweekly with that caption haha.

dina lohan to the rescue

this isn't so much of a story, but a blurb/tweet-worthy - i still thought it was pertinent to your understanding of the world. okay, not really. i just really live lindsay lohan and her mess of a life, which includes her mother. lindsay's mother, donata aka dina, always says she doesn't want to be famous, yet will take any moment she can to get some press. hypocritical much? aside from her self-promotion on her e! tv program, living lohan (which is supposed to return sometime this year), dina has taken to talking about lindsay's "projects" like her life depended on it. we all know about lindsay's funnyordie eharmony skit, and dina would like you to know it was her idea. dina told entertainment tonight that she approached lindsay about doing funnyordie because she thought it would be a great, funny way to tackle the rumors.  really? did dina sell the rights to lindsay's story to us weekly, too? the two "outlets" seem pretty contradictory - are you making fun of your life or taking it too seriously. make up your minds lohans :). oh and lindsay's extended fam is apparently taking measures to send the starlet back to rehab. obvi dina is not involved, as she recently dropped lindsay off at a club (see vid above). 

gwyneth paltrow has frenemies? 

after a recent post on her living site/newsleter goop.com, people are starting to speculate as to who gwyneth is meaning by the "person [who] really did what they could to hurt me." here's the letter as it appeared on the site:

all fingers are pointing to gwyneth's former gal-pal winona rider. the duo were inseparable throughout the 90s until gwyn won the role of viola in the 1998 oscar winner shakespeare in love. tensions grew especially when gwyn took home the little gold man for her role, too.  and could the "something unfortunate" be winona's legal troubles after her five-finger discount? hmm...i'll let you decide for yourself. 

everybody cut footloose!

what was once a vehicle for musical megastar zac efron - who takes his first step as a non-disney leading man in tomorrow's 17 again (this movie could make or break his career) - kenny ortega's musical remake of kevin bacon 80's classic footloose is shaping up to be a chance to launch two new movie careers. gossip girl star chace crawford is said to be this close to signing on to the project and filling zac's (probably tiny) shoes. this would be chace's first big screen outing as a leading man, other than 2008's little seen horror flick the haunting of molly hartley. can chace even sing? let's hope so - footloose's soundtrack is set to be a big hit if the movie does make it past pre-production. another surprise casting news? dancing with the stars' and rising country star julianne hough has reportedly auditioned and is being strongly considered for the leading lady role in the flick.  julianne has said that the next natch (that's natural for my non-abreve inclined friends) step in career evolution would be acting. plus, a musical would make complete sense with her singing career and all. let's just hope chace doesn't back out - julianne's bro derek hough is said to be the crew's second choice (technically third after zac) and i don't know about you but i don't need to see any incest on the big screen.

octomom, coming to a tv near you. 

yep, you read that right. nadya suleman, the octomom (though i might not be able to use that name much longer now that nadya has started paperwork to trademark the media-given nickname), has inked a deal with european production company eyeworks, the forces behind such shows as the biggest loser and beauty and the geek, to create "documentary style" programming that will track the kids from now until they turn 18.  nadya wants everyone to know that this is not a reality show (even though it is).  i guess she's separating herself from that name because it won't be a weekly show - it will be a variety of specials shown sparingly throughout the year.  footage will be shot 6 times in a given calendar year so, according to nadya, the childrens' lives will not be invaded.  no word on whether the show will ever air in the states, though.  eyeworks is a uk-based company and will air any program overseas first, where they have set production deals. if the specials go over well, then nadya and eyeworks hope someone in the us is interested enough to purchase the rights. i say tlc? they seem to like multiple children-themed series.

lindsay gets last laugh

lindsay lohan is the latest celeb to poke fun at her image on will ferrell's brainchild funnyordie.com.  after zac efron released his vid last week, lindsay approached the site about addressing all the rumors circulating about her.  i like it when a celeb is able to laugh at themselves - i've seriously watched the video 10 times today. the video also shows that lindsay can act, even if she's just playing herself. she really just needs to stop going clubbing.  i know you're young, but you're also a professional.  plenty of young stars are able to have fun and live clean lives (look at the gossip girl cast...at least, for now).  some publicity experts recently gave their opinions on lohan to eonline and, well, they weren't exactly kind.  the main theme was she should appear on a morning show dressed conservatively and promote her projects, not her life.  she should stop talking about her breakup with sam and her problems with the law.  that's pretty good advice, no? i hope lindsay gets some attention in hollywood from this and gets a role in something. maybe a network will throw aside someone in one of their fall pilots and replace her with lindsay?
