once again, saturday night live is back from hiatus - it seems like they're on hiatus every 2 weeks - and they're back with some creative resurgence (like every time). jennifer lopez pulled double duty as host and musical guest, even though she just parted ways with her record label and her album release has been delayed. the episode was mostly a hit, with a few misses. here are the highlights.
the episode started with a "we are the world" parody. it was just alright. like most skits, kristen wiig was the highlight as gwen stefani. j.lo did her best rihanna impression and, well, it wasn't all that great.
my favorite skit from the night was a telemundo parody about the olympics. j. lo does her best comedic acting when falling into hispanic stereotypes. go figure.
my favorite new snl character - tinatina - came back for another go around of homemade inventions. this time it was car horns. lopez joined in on the fun as tinatina's cousin.
