there really isn't anything to report today other than the oscars are on tomorrow night, on abc, with a barbara walters special preceding the telecast.  above is a video of this year's host, hugh jackman, running through performances and talking about the show. 

update: it looks like a confidential memo revealing the winners of the academy awards, 2009, has been leaked.  the academy of arts and sciences has said that the memo is a fake, but the list reveals some very likely winners. here's the list for the big awards:

actor in a leading role - mickey rourke, the wrestler

actor in a supporting role - heath ledger, the dark knight

actress in a leading role - kate winslet, the reader

actress in a supporting role - amy adams, doubt

animated feature - wall-e

best picture - slumdog millionaire

directing - danny boyle, slumdog millionaire

i guess we'll all have to tune in tomorrow night to really find out
