well at least that's the word on the street. life & style magazine reports danielle staub, the center of the new jersey drama universe, will not be asked back should bravo greenlight a third season of the real housewives of new jersey. after two seasons of terrorizing the manzo/laurita family, danielle has reportedly been told the "explosive" reunion she filmed for the show's current season will be her last appearance with the current cast. this gives bravo the chance to bring back my favorite new jersey housewife, dina, who left the show because of its focus on danielle, and get back to a more fun, lighter show - like all the others. while danielle's antics have been ratings gets for the network, two seasons is probably as long as they could string her "storyline" out for. the mag reports staub has been telling people she's getting her own spin-off, but others say she's just putting the rumor out there in hopes it will come true. what would her spin-off document? she seems to have no life. another rumor floating around is danielle will cross state lines and pop up on the real housewives of new york. the new jersey villianess has supposedly been looking for an apartment in the city to move into after she sells the house she currently lives in (and reportedly lost in her divorce).
and lisbeth salander is...
rooney mara? the virtually unknown actress has been cast in the first flick in u.s. adaptation of the "millenium trilogy," the girl with the dragon tattoo. after filming the social network - that movie about the rise of facebook - with director david fincher, who is also directing the girl with the dragon tattoo, reportedly campaigned hard for the starlet. she joins daniel craig (as mikael blomkvist), robin wright (as erika berger) and stellan skarsgard (as martin vanger) in the series. i think it's good to cast an unknown and i have no clue if this is the right choice, but i hope it is. it would be quite the travesty should hollywood eff up this series. daniel craig is a little too pretty in my opinion to play the haggard journalist, but hopefully he can pull it off. the film is set to start production this fall.
