clarkson chimes in

kelly clarkson's new single, "my life would suck without you," hit the internets today and, let me just say, it's definitely radio worthy.  click here to check out the song on kelly's official youtube page.  the song is back to the pop roots clarkson was made famous for with a little bit of electropop thrown in.  the song should hit a radio near you in the next few days and be released for download next week.  

fox's schedule shake up

with the who-knows-what season of american idol premiering tonight, the news that fox's little watched drama prison break is going off the air has gone virtually unnoticed.  the show will finish out its fourth season in may and be gone for good from the fox lineup, the first time since its 2005 premiere.  the show has never been a hit in the ratings, consistently falling into the 50s and 60s in the ratings.  the show probably would have worked better with the programming of the wb/cw, being aimed at a younger audience.  the show will die a slow death on fridays, which are notoriously known to be graveyards for shows networks want to get rid of, like lipstick jungle and faltering game shows.  

violet's younger sister gets a name

jennifer garner and bed affleck's second daughter, who was born last week, finally has a name: seraphina rose elizabeth affleck (hopefully they'll just call her rose).  seraphina comes from the biblical word seraphim, meaning "fiery ones" in hebrew.  at least they kind of kept the names in the flower family with the middle name rose, but seaphina? wtf?? we'll see how they address the little one in the next couple months when they start doing press for their new projects, including affleck's he's just not that into you, out in february.
