britney spears has officially come full circle. the reigning pop princess has released the lead single off her upcoming studio effort (the singles collection), "3," produced by "baby one more time" - spears' first single - hitmaker max martin. "3" is the only confirmed new track off the "greatest hits" record, which will also include updates of all miss spears' biggest songs since her career started over a decade ago. "3" is a song all about (surprise, surprise) threesomes. the song is in the vein of the new stuff brit brit has been putting out, like "if u seek amy" and "womanizer," but is reminiscent of the songs that made her a household name (think "slave 4 u" and "oops! i did it again"). give the song a listen above. chances are you'll get it stuck in your head. "3" should be available for download next week and "the singles collection" hits stores in november, just in time to be a stocking stuffer.
taking jon out of the equation
tlc has decided to part ways with jon gosselin ... kind of. jon and kate + 8 will be renamed kate + 8 come november when the show relaunches. if this isn't a "we like kate better than you" gesture from the learning channel, then i don't know what is. jon is still under contract with tlc and will appear on the revamped show in a limited capactiy. the network said that in, with all the changes going on in the family, it makes sense to refocus the program on the trails and tribulations of kate's single motherhood. kate also has a new contract with the network and is reportedly working on other projects to be launched in 2010. if the talk show pilot kate filmed with paula deen gets picked up, too, then miss gosselin is set to be the hardest working woman on tv. isn't it funny that in just a matter of months, everyone's opinion as to who is the better person has completely flipped? that's what happens when you go around sleeping with every woman you see and wearing ed hardy, jon.
